Terms of service.
Last updated · 17 July 2026
These terms apply when you book or receive an EV battery State-of-Health ("SoH") test and certificate from CellSure ("we", "us"). By booking a test you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. The service
- We attend the vehicle's location, connect to the vehicle's battery management system through its diagnostic port, and run a State-of-Health readout with supporting checks (cell balance, stored fault codes).
- You receive a serial-numbered certificate, normally the same day, recording the results and a verdict of Pass, Advisory or Fail.
- Certificates can be checked at cellsure.co.uk/verify.
2. Booking, price and payment
- Submitting the booking form or calling us is a request, not a confirmed booking. We confirm the price and time before we travel, and no payment is taken online.
- Single pre-purchase tests are priced from £99; dealer and multi-car rates are agreed per visit.
- You must have the seller's or vehicle keeper's permission for us to connect to the vehicle. We may decline to test a vehicle where we can't verify that, or where the vehicle's condition makes testing unsafe.
3. Cancellation
- You can cancel or rearrange free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
- If we arrive and the vehicle is unavailable, inaccessible, or has too little charge to test after we flagged a requirement at booking, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee, which we'll have told you about when confirming the booking.
4. What the certificate is — and isn't
- The certificate records the battery's measured state at the date and time of the test, using the same calibrated instrument and procedure on every vehicle.
- It is not a warranty, a guarantee of future battery performance or range, a whole-vehicle inspection, or a valuation. Battery condition changes with use, time and charging behaviour.
- We are independent: we never buy or sell vehicles and have no stake in any sale. The certificate is our opinion of the battery's health based on the data available from the vehicle on the day; the decision to buy, sell or price a vehicle remains yours.
5. Liability
- We carry out testing with reasonable skill and care. Diagnostic readouts depend on data reported by the vehicle's own systems, which we sense-check but do not control.
- We are not liable for losses arising from decisions made using the certificate beyond the price paid for the test, except where the loss was caused by our negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence).
6. Certificates and the register
- Certificates remain our copyright but may be shared freely in connection with the tested vehicle (e.g. in a listing or negotiation).
- Altering a certificate, or presenting a certificate for a different vehicle, is fraud and will be reported. Buyers should always confirm a certificate at cellsure.co.uk/verify.
7. General
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
- Questions about these terms: hello@cellsure.co.uk or 07522 048822.
